French Settlement (historically (フランス語:La Côte-Française)〔http://www.thecajuns.com/oldnew.htm〕) is a village in Livingston Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 1,116 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Statistical Area.
==History==
French Settlement was settled in 1800 via the Amite River by French, German and Italian immigrants.
